FURNACE PROBLEM

 

Feb 11th - At 22:43 Fire Box 6-G for a furnace malfunction inside an apartment building of 10th street Reynoldsville Borough. Caller stated she heard a loud noise come from the furnace and was worried it was on fire. Captain 6 arrived on scene first along with Chief 6 and Rescue 6. Negative fire was reported and all units cleared the scene.

 

 


TRANSFER ASSIGNMENT TO CLEARFIELD COUNTY

 

Feb 10th - At 10:07 Clearfield County Rescue Box 5-IL was alerted for a multiple car pile-up I-80 at the 118 mile marker. Arriving units advised Clearfield County of multiple injuries and entrapment also multiple accidents with entrapment in the back-log. Rescue 6 was requested to transfer to Clearfield Station 1 and await orders. Rescue 6 staged at Clearfield station 1 and responded to no additional calls.

 

 

 


MVA NO INJURIES

 

Feb 9th - At 16:23 Rescue box 6-E was alerted for a 1 vehicle MVA with no injuries Route 322 west of Reynoldsville Borough. Pumper 6, Chief 6 and Asst 6-2 responded to find a Ford Explorer off the roadway with no injuries, traffic control only. Units were on scene for 45 min.

 


TWO VEHICLE MVA

 

Jan 30th - At 11:24 Rescue Box 6-G was alerted for a two vehicle MVA N 4th St Reynoldsville Borough. Asst 6-5 Arrived on during dispatch and advised for clean up and traffic control only. Pumper 6 and Chief 6 Also responded. Units on scene less than 20 min.

 


THREE MVA'S ON ONE HOUR

 

Jan 28th - At 07:45 One vehicle blocking the roadway no injuries.

 

At 08:27 One vehicle partially on roadway no injuries no fluids leaking

 

At 08:56 One vehicle reported unknown injuries or entrapment. Units found no injuries or entrapment.
 

 


TWO VEHICLE MVA

 

Jan 20th - Two vehicle MVA no injuries vehicle blocking the roadway. Initially reported on Wayne Rd Jefferson County, vehicles were found on Wayne Rd Sandy Township Clearfield County. Per Sandy Township PD Clearfield Notified Sandy Township Company 36 and Company 6 remained on scene and provided traffic control.

 


STRUCTURE FIRE

 

Jan 19th - At 05:50 Fire Box 10-C reported structure fire in a outside furnace shed. Jefferson Companies 6 (Reynoldsville), 10 (Pine Creek), 13 (Knox Township). Rescue 6 arrived first and use a hand line to extinguish the fire. Units were on scene for around an hour.

 


VEHICLE VS SCHOOL BUS

 

Jan 5th - At 13:58 Rescue Box 6-B was alerted for a passenger vehicle Vs. a school bus Route 322 East of Reynoldsville Borough. Rescue 6, Pumper 6 and Chief 6 responded to find a School Bus that crashed into a passenger vehicle with that driver complaining of injuries. Units assisted EMS, traffic control and Accident clean up and cleared the scene for 45 min.

 


MULTIPLE ALARM STRUCTURE FIRE

BRADY TWP CLEARFIELD COUNTY

 

Jan 4th - At 12:51 Clearfield County Fire Box 30-T was alerted for a working dwelling fire Main st. in Troutville. Tanker 6 was first requested to the scene and Engine 6-2 Transfer to Jefferson station 8. While responding Engine 6-2 was requested to the scene. Engine 6-2 established a tanker dump site at the front of on the structure. Engine 6-2 utilized a deck gun and supplied Jefferson Engine 8-1 and Dubois City Truck 72. Structure sustained major damage and units were on scene for several hours with temps around 12 degrees. Units on scene Jefferson County: Reynoldsville, Sykesville, Big Run, Punxsutawney, Falls Creek and McCalmont Twsp. Clearfield County: Brady Township, Dubois City, Sandy Township, Rockton, Grampian and Hyde Truck 6 Transfer to Dubois City 72

 

 

 

 


STRUCTURE FIRE

 

Jan 1st 2010 - At 03:31 Fire Box 4-B was alerted for a working structure fire with unknown injuries or entrapment. Caller then reported a detached garage well involved. Engine 6-2 and Tanker 6 responded. Fire units were on scene for over 2 hours. Garage is considered a total loss. Units on scene: Reynoldsville, Falls Creek, Dubois City and Sandy Township.

 


SPECIAL RESCUE / ENTRAPMENT WITH MEDEVAC

 

Dec 30th - At 10:35 Rescue Box 6-E was alerted for male patient trapped under a tree. Subject was logging when a tree fell on top of his legs. Rescue 6 Pumper 6 and Chief 6 responded. Patient was located on a 4x4 only access road. Patient was alone and used his own chain saw to cut the tree off of him however he did have significant injuries. Stat Med Evac was called and Company 6 crews assisted EMS and Stat with a landing zone at the scene. Units were on scene for over an hour.

 

 

 


STRUCTURE FIRE

 

Dec 29th - At 14:45 Fire Box 4-B was alerted for a structure fire on Chan rd Washington Township. Caller reported smoke coming from a wall. Tanker 6 and Rescue 6 responded. Fire was contained and units were on scene for a half hour.

 


AUTO INTO A SMALL BUILDING

 

Dec 28th - At 10:44 Rescue Box 6-B was alerted for one vehicle into a school bus stop building with injuries. Pumper 6 And Rescue 6 responded to find 1 Vehicle that struck a school bus stop shelter with sever damage and 1 injury. Units assisted EMS with patient care and traffic control till PSP arrived. All Fire units cleared within a half hour.

 

 

 


MEDICAL ASSIST

 

Dec 24th - At 12:07 While returning from a previous fire Rescue 6 Came upon an elderly man who had fallen on a sidewalk and was semi-conscious. After clearing the fire scene Engine 6-2 arrived and also assisted Rescue 6 and EMS with patient care. Patient was loaded into ambulance and all units cleared the scene.

 


STRUCTURE FIRE

 

Dec 24th - At 12:00 Fire Box 6-G was alerted for a Structure Fire Jackson St. Reynoldsville Boro. Caller reported the porch of his residence was on fire. Engine 6-2, Rescue 6 and Chief 6 responded. Chief 6 arrived on scene and advised for Engine 6-2 only to proceed to the scene. Engine 6-2 arrived and utilized a water can to extinguish hot spots all units cleared the scene shortly after. Damage was contained to a porch swing and was caused by a cigarette.

 


2nd ALARM STRUCTURE FIRE

 

Dec 21st - At 19:59 Fire Box 4-B was alerted for a structure fire with possible entrapment Airport rd. Washington Twsp. Reynoldsville Fire Company And Falls Creek Fire Company Due First Alarm. Rescue 6, Engine 6-2, Tanker 6, Engine 4 and Tanker 4 all responded shortly after dispatch. Falls Creek units arrived on scene and requested 2nd alarm. Upon arrival, a large garage with a full apartment above was fully involved and directly endangering another 2 story residential dwelling. Units contained the fire to the main fire building with minimal damage to the exposure despite winds blowing directly towards the exposure. Apartment above collapsed into the garage below. All occupants escaped without injury. The fire building is considered a total loss. Units Dispatched on the Box: Reynoldsville, Sykesville (Transfer to Reynoldsville), Falls Creek, Dubois City 73,71, Sandy Township 38,37, Brockway and Warsaw Township. FATAL MULTIPLE ALARM BUILDING FIRE IN DUBOIS CITY

 

Dec 18th - At 07:10 Dubois City Fire Box was alerted for a working building fire with entrapment on Jared st. Dubois City. Dubois units arrived with a working fire and several occupants still in the structure. Fire personal rescued several people from the building. Brockway Truck 1 and Reynoldsville Snorkel 6 along with Engine 6-2 responded to the scene. Additionally Sykesville Squad 8 was requested for a RIT team. Sandy Township 37 Responded to the scene and Sandy Township 36 was requested for stand by for Dubois City 73. Clearfield County Company 9 and Clearfield County Hyde Truck 6 was on stand by for Dubois City 72 And Sandy Township 37. Truck 72, Truck 1 and Snorkel 6 all utilized master stream operations for several hours. Snorkel 6 was also repositioned several times while the PA State Police Fire Marshall took Photos of the building from several angles, also assisted Clearfield County Coroner. Reynoldsville Units were on scene for over 7 hours. Unfortunately, two residents of the building did not make it out. The fire is still under investigation.
