Motor Vehicle Accident

Thursday, June 21, 2012 09:20 This morning around 9:20 am Company 6 was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with injury.  Asst 6-1 was first on scene as he witnessed the accident, advised of one elderly gentleman with minor injury.  Rescue and Pumper arrived simulataneously and assisted EMS with patient packaging and Company 6 fire police assisted with traffic control for the wrecker service.  Company 6 was out for about an hour.

     



 

Mutual Aid - Motor Home Fire

Sunday, June 17, 2012 18:30 This evening Company 6 was alerted on box 4K with Company 4 for a reported vehicle fire endangering a structure.  Captain 6 arrived to find a motor home with fire inside the vehicle.  Asst 6-1 forced the door and the Rescue crew advanced an 1 3/4 line and knocked the fire within seconds.  Crews opened up and found a small fire outside of the bathroom with heat and smoke damage to the motor home.  Tanker 6 supplied the Rescue, while Engine and Tanker 4 staged on the hard top.  Company 6 was out for a little over an hour.

     



 

Motor Vehicle Accident with injuries

Wednesday, June 13, 2012 17:39 Company 6 was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with injuries on O'Donnell rd. in Winslow Township.  Asst 6-1 arrived to find one vehicle on its lid with on injury.  Pumper 6 arrived and assisted EMS in packaging the patient and remained on scene until the scene was secure.  Company 6 was out for a lil over an hour.

     



 

Tree Down

Wednesday, June 13, 2012 06:15 For the second morning in a row company 6 was alerted for another tree down on the roadway this time on rt 322 west of the borough.  Pumper 6 arrived and cleared the hazard from the roadway.

Tuesday, June 12, 2012 08:28 Comany 6 was alerted for a tree down on Wayne rd. just outside of the borough.  Asst 6-2 arrived with the mini pumper and removed the hazard.

   


 

Transfer Assignment

Monday, June 11, 2012 14:41 This afternoon Company 6 was requested to transfer Rescue 6 to the borough of Punxsutawney as the boroughs companies along with companies 16 and 17 battled a 2 alarm residential fire.  Rescue 6 responded with 5 and was out for about an hour and a half.

   


 

Transfer Assignment

Sunday, June 10, 2012 16:05 Company 6 was alerted this afternoon to transfer an engine to company 8 Sykesville, while they were battling a mutual aid car and barn fire.  Rescue 6 responded with 5 men and left another 8 at the firehouse.  The rescue was out for about an hour.

   


 

Landing Zone for Medical Emergency

Friday, May 25, 2012  Around 10:30 this morning Company 6 was requested to set a landing zone for Stat Med Evac 9 for a 5 year male that fell out of a 2nd story window.  Rescue 6 responded and secured the LZ with Stat 9 landing safely in the field.  Company 6 was out for about a half an hour.

   


 

Mutual Aid 2nd Alarm Structure Fire

Tuesday, May 22, 2012  Late this afternoon Company 6 was alerted on Box 2A for a reported structure fire in the borough of Brookville.  Rescue and Tower responded on the box.  Rescue arrived and sent its crew to assist with a little overhaul and checking for extension.  Company 6 was out for an hour and half.

     



 

Structure Fire - Box 6F Working Trailer fire

Wednesday, May 16, 2012  At 2:17AM Box 6F was alerted for a trailer fire on Cricket lane just off of Vo-Tech Rd.  Asst. 6-1 arrived to find a working trailer fire.  A 2nd alarm was struck bringing companies 4, 8, 10, 16, 36, 38, and 74 to assist at the scene.  Crews had a quick knockdown of the fire and had extensive overhaul for the next hour.  Engine 6 laid 1100 ft. of 5 in from the hydrant at the Jeff Tech school, while the tanker supplied the Rescue.  Company 38 transferred their Engine-Tanker to the 6 house while crews operated at the fire. The State Police Fire Marshal investigated the fire ruling it undetereminded.  Crews were back around 9am.
